Compass Whitsundays Inc

In 2008, Compass Whitsundays was successful in gaining $500 000 from Disability Services to construct a purpose build Day Service Centre.  Construction will commence by October 2009.

Day Services aim to provide people with a disability with an alternate or transition to paid employment or education.  The Day Service will provide opportunities for continued learning and life skill development as well as participation in the community.

The Day Service Centre will comprise of:

• A multi-function activity room with kitchen
• A sensory room
• A library and meeting room
• Staff room and offices
• Outdoor spaces
• Sensory garden and fruit/vegetable garden

Rooms will be available for hire to other community organisations.
